We're big fans of supplements. We're also very aware that once you start researching them, things can get squirrely really fast.

Here's how we recommend you look at supplements: start with your dog's individual needs.
Every dog is different, and what works wonders for one pup may not be necessary for another. A trusted veterinarian can help you determine which supplements are worth considering and which ones are simply expensive distractions.
It's also worth remembering that pet supplements are not well-regulated. Quality can vary widely between brands, so it's important to do your homework.
A few things our mom always looks for:
Clear ingredient lists
Transparent sourcing
Third-party testing, when available
Ingredients we can actually recognize and understand
If we can't identify most of what's on the label, we keep looking.
Because we believe it's best to work with your veterinarian, we'll only touch on a few supplements we feel comfortable discussing and recommending.
